Avery is sad his Mavs lost last night and are therefore out of the playoffs. And, consequently, he's out of a job.
He was so sure they were going to pull this off, he bought himself a new tie.
The ref didn't like the tie and ordered Avery into a more appropriate purple for the somber occasion. The ref said if his wishes weren't followed, he was going to squish Avery's head.
I'll miss you, Avery. And your squished little head.

I watched some of the Stars game last night, but went to bed after the first OT. I'm so glad I didn't stay up until it was over. I can't believe they went to 4 OT! I'm glad they won, especially since they were playing the Sharks who beat my Flames. :)
